The Utah Quilting & Sewing Marketplace is going on right now until Sunday at South Town Expo in Sandy.
You not only can shop for craft supplies, an endless array of fabrics, kits and tools, but you can stroll down aisles of the most incredible quilts you will ever see.
I realized that quilting has evolved, the traditional quilts are always a favorite but we saw some incredible hand painted quilts that looked like Renaissance oil paintings, all the way to some very modern designs.
Most vendors are offering show specials which we thought was great, these vendors come from all the surrounding states to sell their products.
Our very talented friend Annette Malen who told us about this fun show shopping with Samantha.
Kim Peterson of Lindon, Utah who made this quilt was one of our favorites. Hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, machine pieced. It was so happy!
We thought this booth had a fun thing going. You pick out a fabric doll, dress it to look like the people in your family including your pets! Then hang from a rod. It can be displayed in any room.
Admission into the show is $12
Children are allowed but we didn’t see any.
Get to this show this weekend, you will be glad you did!
